Our client, who are Worldwide logistic experts, are looking for an Experienced Team Leader to join their growing team. If you have a passion for Time critical operations within third party logistics, this position is perfect for you

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for supervision of people and processes in our premium Airfreight sector, covering  Time-Critical air-charters, OBC/Hand Carry, NFO/Express airfreight
  • Full P&L ownership of this premium product sector
  • Ensure continuous flow of our customers supply-chain
  • First point of contact for all strategic customers premium airfreight requirements
  • Procurement of all premium airfreight and pricing solutions to strategic customers
  • Drive the Customer Experience/Customer First concept with high-levels of precise communications
  • E2E ownership and management of all premium airfreight shipments, ensuring time-critical timestamps are measured and delivered upon
  • Devise sustainable, corrective actions from customer feedback and/or complaints
  • Fully understand each strategic customer’s Time-Critical air requirements
  • Develop a sustainable carrier network, ensuring adequate and alternate solution offerings at all times
  • Retention of current business and supporting successful implementation of new
  • Lead by example to promote and sustain our healthy work-culture within the departments
  • Manage individual team-members job-performance, covering appraisals and 1:1’s
  • Occasional EU and UK travel when required

Skills:

  • Ability to react to challenging, time-sensitive situations and provide alternate logistic solutions
  • Excellent all-round knowledge of Airfreight Time-Critical products
  • Excellent  Air-Charter and Premium Airfreight pricing skills, ensuring highly-competitive, winning quotations (Critical requirement)
  • Strong negotiating skills (Carriers and Customers)
  • Good understanding of/and possessing necessary network of carriers and product offerings in air-charters and On-Board Courier (OBC) processes
  • Good understanding of customs processes and HMRC compliance
  • Understanding of Incoterms 2020
  • Sound geographical knowledge of Europe
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving skills
  • Ability to prioritise workload and delegate where necessary

Experience:

  • Proven success in similar role
  • Good understanding of “First & Last Mile” time-critical potential supply-chain disruptors and the ability to resolve (Ground Handlers, Flight Permits, C&D etc)
  • Proven experience of having mitigated customer production-line stoppages
  • Experience of operations TMS
  • Key Time-Stamps tracking updates
