GSL Education are currently working with a popular and successful SEN school based in Redditch who are seeking a Classroom Assistants to work closely with Primary aged pupils with SEN needs. The successful candidate will be a joining a warm, inclusive, and motivated team.

They are looking to appoint an experienced SEN Classroom Support Assistants to support children with SEMH and learning disabilities, aiming to enhance attainment and engagement.

SEN Classroom Support Assistants responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support to learners with additional learning needs.
  • Assist teachers by undertaking a range of non-teaching duties.
  • Handle classroom administration tasks.
  • Contribute to the preparation of teaching materials.
  • Reteach and reinforce concepts for struggling pupils.
  • Help with classroom setup.
  • Supervise students.



    SEN Classroom Support Assistant requirements:
  • Experience working with children in a learning environment.
  • Has experience working with children in schools or other childcare provisions.
  • Experience working with vulnerable individuals (children or adults).
  • Awareness of children/young person’s development and learning.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships with staff, children, young people, and their families and carers.
  • Ability to implement behaviour management strategies in line with the school’s policy and procedures.
  • Available Monday to Friday and can commit to 8:30am – 3:30pm school days.
  • Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
