As  Purchasing Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in overseeing a high-performing team, managing complex procurement operations, and shaping the future of our supply chain strategy. What You’ll Do:

  • Lead and Inspire: Manage and mentor the Purchasing Department, setting the direction and ensuring your team achieves all departmental objectives, including cost reduction, customer satisfaction, and new product launches.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement: Implement cutting-edge strategies to drive cost-down initiatives, enhance supplier relationships, and optimize the procurement process.
  • Collaborate Across Functions: Work closely with key stakeholders across finance, engineering, production, and supply chain to meet production goals and customer requirements.
  • Benchmark and Innovate: Develop and execute benchmarking processes to ensure we're always ahead of the curve and maintaining best-in-class supplier performance.
  • Strategize for the Future: Develop forward-thinking procurement strategies, ensuring the department evolves to meet the needs of the business and our customers.
  • Manage Budgets and Performance: Oversee the department's budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to meet the business's goals.
  • Develop Your Team: Identify skill gaps, champion training programs, and ensure your team is continually improving and aligned with the company's vision.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in managing a Purchasing Department, with a strong track record in people management and developing high-performing teams.
  • A deep understanding of automotive procurement or experience in a fast-paced, complex manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrable success in driving cost-down initiatives for both production and non-production items.
  • Experience in Supplier Development and implementing Group Policies to ensure alignment across all company functions.
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to influence, inspire, and lead cross-functional teams to achieve ambitious goals.
  • Strong budget management skills, with an eye for maximizing cost efficiencies and driving continuous improvement.
