Service Engineer - Heavy Equipment
Location:Stratford-upon-Avon
Salary:40,000 - 45,000 annually (Base: 14/hr; Overtime: 21/hr)
Hours:50 hours/week (39 regular + 11 overtime); overtime available

Role Overview
Seeking an experienced Workshop Service Engineer to inspect, maintain, and repair heavy construction equipment, particularly crawler cranes and piling rigs. Ideal for a skilled technician who can perform detailed diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance to ensure peak equipment performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnosis & Inspection:Identify and resolve equipment issues using diagnostic tools and industry knowledge.
- Repairs & Maintenance:Conduct comprehensive servicing, repair, and reassembly of heavy machinery components.
- Documentation:Prepare accurate service reports, tracking repairs and routine maintenance.
- Communication:Coordinate with team members and clients on repair status and parts requirements.
- Health & Safety:Adhere to safety protocols, maintaining a clean, compliant workspace.
Qualifications
- Experience:Minimum 2 years with heavy equipment, particularly cranes and piling rigs.
- Technical Skills:Basic understanding of hydraulics, mechanics, and electrical systems.
- Certifications:CSCS card or City & Guilds preferred.
- Other:Strong troubleshooting skills; teamwork and communication abilities. Driving license preferred.
