  • Our client is hiring for three positions across two college sites in Redhill and South Croydon, including two Careers and Employability Advisors and one Careers, Advice & Guidance Advisor.
  • The salary for the Careers and Employability Advisor positions ranges from £35,812 to £37,989 FTE, while the Careers, Advice & Guidance Advisor position offers a salary of £32,749.
  • Candidates are required to have experience in an educational setting providing Careers Information, Advice, and Guidance (IAG) and must possess relevant qualifications at Level 6 or Level 4.
  • Successful candidates will be responsible for organizing career events, maintaining up-to-date career resources, and delivering bespoke employability programs.
  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience in delivering career advice to learners at various educational levels is preferred.

Working across two college sites in Redhill and SouthCroydon, our client is looking to hire for 3 x new positions as follows:

Careers and Employability Advisor x 2 - Level 6 CIAG

(Full time and Part Time opportunity - Wednesday, Thursday and Friday)

Salary: £35,812 - £37,989 FTE

Careers, Advice & Guidance Advisor - Level 4 CIAG

Salary: £32,749

Careers and Employability Advisor x 2:

  • Ensuring systems and procedures for UCAS, student finance and support are created, maintained and up to date.
  • Organise and arrange partnerships events with schools, employers and HE institutions, e.g. careers fair, HE fairs and other appropriate events
  • Researching and providing up to date reports that promotes local and national career opportunities and local market information and to keep learners and tutors informed of new developments and trends
  • To lead and deliver bespoke careers and employability programmes ensuring their appropriate embedding across the Curriculum.

Careers, Advice & Guidance Adviser:

  • Organisation of the college’s careers resource area in working in partnership with the LRC, tutorial provision and Employer Services team
  • Researching and providing up to date reports that promotes local and national career opportunities and local market information and to keep learners and tutors informed of new developments and trends
  • To provide a drop in service and appointment service for learners
  • Train staff on HE applications, UCAS, employability skills and up to date careers IAG
  • Apprenticeship careers workshops

The successful candidate’s must have:

  • A minimum of a Diploma in Careers Guidance or relevant specialist careers qualification at Level 6 OR Diploma in Careers Guidance or relevant specialist careers qualification at Level 3 and willing to work to level 4.
  • Up to date and authoritative knowledge of careers guidance work and developments in education / FE / HE employment and careers matters
  • Experience and knowledge of offering and delivering careers IAG to KS4 up to level 4 learners as well as standard 16-18, apprenticeships and adult employability programmes on an individual basis or group basis
  • Be committed in delivering high quality, independent and client focused career advice in one to one guidance sessions and other activities.
