This close-knit not-for-profit organisation is currently seeking a Financial Transactional Manager to join their lovely team on a permanent basis. Reporting into the Financial Controller, you will oversee all things financial transactions, including accounts payable, receivable, and banking, ensuring accuracy and quality control. You will play a crucial role in managing month-end closes, tax returns, and preparing financial reports, while driving continuous improvement across the organisation.

The key duties of this Financial Transactions Manager are as follows:

  • Train and mentor staff, conduct appraisals, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Establish and manage the month-end close process, ensuring the completion of timely and accurate reconciliations.
  • Handle tax returns and ensure correct accounting for tax transactions.
  • Prepare trial balances, draft notes for statements, and manage external audit requirements.
  • Ensure accurate processing of accounts payable, receivable, and banking transactions.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A full CCAB (or equivalent) qualification, or be actively studying.
  • Proven track record in staff management and development.
  • A strong background in transactions finance and VAT.
  • Experience in supporting the production of statutory accounts
  • Ideally a background working in the not-for-profit sector, although this is by no means essential.
