A Construction Consultancy are seeking a CDM Principal Designer with a Fire specialist skillset. This consultancy is a profitable, multiple location business that originated form family origins. They are willing to provide the Principal Designer autonomy and flexibility to work to their own schedule, whilst visiting the office two times per week.

The CDM Principal Designer Role

As a Principal Designer & CDM Advisor, you will manage advise on all design safety risk for the portfolio of projects within the Pre-construction phase. There will be a team of CDM Advisors & Architects to support your work. This is a client facing role focused on technical delivery and client satisfaction.

The Successful CDM Principal Designer will have:

  • NEBOSH Construction (required)
  • Tech IOSH (minimum)
  • APS membership (required)
  • Experience: At least 3 years of experience in a CDM role (required)
  • Fire experience: Membership with a recognized institution and/or experience within Fire Design/Assessing (preferred)
  • Design degree: Architecture / Civil Engineering / Surveying (preferred)
  • Skills: Strong communication abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to work both independently and as part of a team.
