Role:
- Act as the initial point of contact for security issues, including troubleshooting and resolution within tight deadlines.
- Manage and respond to alerts from Cyber Security Monitoring systems for both the company and customers.
- Generate regular reports on the security status of internal and customer networks.
- Assist in the design, build, test, commission, and troubleshoot security solutions (IDS/IPS, SIEM) for internal and occasional customer networks.
- Help maintain documentation for configuration, schematics, support guides, and other required materials.
- Collaborate across internal teams to support company and customer networks, ensuring the highest levels of network and device security.
- Maintain a strong understanding of internal and customer platforms.
- Lead by example in developing and maintaining personal technical expertise in company-specific products and security best practices.
- Share knowledge, support, and develop colleagues in security management.
Requirements:
- Essential - a Degree in IT/Computer Science or related area especially if cyber security aspect to the degree, to a 2.1 degree standard
- Knowledge of TCP/IP networks, Windows Server and Desktop Operating Systems
- attention to detail, an interest in the various aspects of securing devices, hardware and software
- The ability to explain and present security information to non-technical customers
- professional interactions with remote customers
