Quantity Surveyor

Redhill, Surrey

Reed Recruitment (Southampton Branch) are recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor for a specialist cladding company based in Redhill, Surrey. Our client works globally in the design, supply, and installation of high performance rain screen cladding and traditional handset cladding systems.

The Role:

Reporting to the managing director the successful candidate will administer contract works and support the estimating. The candidate will have an excellent understanding of the administration of JCT contracts.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  1. JCT Contract administration.

  2. Variation costing/submittal and agreement.

  3. Valuation submittals.

  4. Pre-Qual submittals using company forms.

  5. Cost Planning / Estimating.

  6. Site visits / surveys / take offs using BlueBeam.

  7. Managing commercial details from site for example laborer's invoices. Measure progress against invoices.

  8. Contract reviewing.

  9. Liaising with client QS.

  10. Commercial tracking / spend reviews.

  11. Forming final accounts.

Requirements:

  • Considerable understanding and experience with JCT Contracts.
  • Relevant qualification or time-served experience
  • Driving licence and own vehicle - travel mileage will be expensed for any required site visits.
  • Experience with cladding (desirable).
