We are working with a social housing landlord, who are looking for a Fire Safety Manager on a temp to perm basis

In this role you will ensure that customers are safe. Safety regulations for social housing has increased significantly so you will understand how critical building safety is for everyone.

You will be the organisations expert fire safety manager. Supported by a small team that you will manage, you will also be responsible for other areas of building safety and compliance including legionella, asbestos, lifts and radon.

Day to day duties will include:

  • Ensuring all aspects of fire safety are legally compliant
  • Acting as the named person , liaising directly with the Building Safety Regulator and Fire Services ensuring that all information and reporting is completed
  • Providing expert advice, guidance and clear information regarding general safety and fire safety to all stakeholders and customers
  • Leadership and management of all legal compliance and that it is maintained at all times including:-
    • Fire risk assessments
    • Fire protection measures
    • Asbestos surveying
    • Asbestos removals
    • Lifts and lifting equipment
    • Radon management
    • Legionella (water hygiene)
  • Scheduling and completion of post-inspections of works
  • Lead and motivate your team and those around you to ensure 100% regulatory compliance and continued achievement
  • Keeping all contractors working on time and on budget as all other Health and Safety requirements.

Relevant proven experience within the sector, coupled with fire safety qualifications nd team leader/managerial experience is essential for this position.

You will be required to attend the office at least 3 days per week so the ability to travel to and from Cornwall daily is essential.

This is a temp to perm role with the end salary currently being looked at and agreed for the right candidate.
