We are looking for a talented SEN TA to join our team to support an SEN School we are working with in the Redruth area. The role is offering full time hours on a permanent basis

The school is looking for someone that is proactive and highly skilled with SEN students. Someone who can be autonomous in their support but also work collaboratively with the rest of the staff. Knowledge and willingness to assist personal care would be advantageous.

The role is full time, permanent, term time only. We are looking for 6 SEN TA's. Interviews will be held Wednesday the 12th of February.

Previous experience working with SEN students is preferred, but we are keen to hear from sports coaches, people with a background in outdoor education, and people with a care/support worker back ground.

Candidates should be able to demonstrate:

  • A clear understanding of the needs of pupils with severe and profound and multiple learning difficulties and autism.
  • Ability to plan and implement good classroom practice and management.
  • The ability to work as a member of a class team and to direct support staff in such a way as to promote the efficiency of that team.
  • The ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team (i.e. with members of the Health or Social Services team and other educational professionals).
  • A commitment to working in partnership with parents.
  • An understanding of and a commitment to the Trust’s Equal Opportunities Policy
