Working Electrical Supervisor
About the Role:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Working Electrical Supervisor for a prestigious commercial new build project. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about leading electrical teams and ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and performance on-site.
As a Working Electrical Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the installation, maintenance, and commissioning of electrical systems, as well as supervising a team of electricians and contractors. You will ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, manage the day-to-day activities on site, and be hands-on with electrical tasks, ensuring the project progresses smoothly and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead a team of electricians and contractors on-site, ensuring the work is completed safely and efficiently.
- Perform hands-on electrical installations, terminations, and testing as part of the daily duties.
- Ensure all electrical work complies with relevant industry standards, regulations, and site-specific requirements.
- Manage health and safety practices in line with SSSTS and other safety regulations.
- Coordinate and oversee all electrical work on the commercial new build project from start to finish.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure quality control and safety standards are met.
- Liaise with other site management and stakeholders to ensure smooth project progression.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and training to electrical teams.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- ECS Gold Card (Electrician's Supervisor or equivalent).
- SSSTS (Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme) certification.
- 2391 (Inspection and Testing) qualification.
- Proven experience working as an Electrical Supervisor, ideally on commercial new build projects.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, installations, and testing.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet project deadlines.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable Skills:
- Previous experience with large-scale commercial or industrial projects.
- Good understanding of project management and coordination.
- First Aid qualification (preferred but not essential).
