Summary
We have a fantastic opportunity for an aspiring apprentice to join our team. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who are ambitious and want to gain Early Years Practitioner qualification while getting experience. You'll create meaningful relationships with the children, your team and with parents.

Annual wage
£6,656 to £11,897.60 a year
The pay may be negotiated and may rise after a probation period has been successfully completed.

Hours
Monday to Friday. Shifts to be confirmed. 20-23 hours per week.
What youll do at work

Throughout the week, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring a safe and supportive environment that prioritizes the well-being of each child.
  • Building rapport with both children and parents to foster a welcoming, inclusive community.
  • Taking initiative to bring fresh ideas to each session and adjusting activities based on childrens engagement.

This role is ideal for those who love working with children, are committed to their development, and are enthusiastic about creating a joyful space that supports childrens growth and happiness.

In addition to your responsibilities within the breakfast and afterschool clubs, you will also assist with our daily walking bus service. Each morning, after breakfast club, you'll help safely walk children to their school. In the afternoon, you'll meet these children at school and walk them back to Limetree for afterschool club. Your role in the walking bus is crucial for ensuring each child's safety, maintaining a positive atmosphere, and providing a smooth, secure transition between school and club activities

Your training plan
The programme offers a blended approach including virtual classrooms, webinars, work-based tasks and online assignments. We use an online platform (BUD) that helps you learn the topics and skills, reflect on your practice and build your portfolio.

Candidates are not required to attend college, instead, this will include off the job training hours (OTJH) used throughout this apprenticeship. These OTJH will be within working hours of Employment- e.g., 30+ hours per week = 6 hours per week OTJH, less than 30 hours is 20% OTJH.

You will also receive one-to-one support and tuition from your apprenticeship tutor, this tutor will make in person visits to you at the nursery, or schedule online meetings every 5-6 weeks.

After this apprenticeship
Upon successful completion of this qualification, learners can enter the workforce as a qualified level 2 Early Years Practitioner or continue to study for a level 3 Diploma, holding Early Years Educator status, including the Early Years Educator apprenticeship.
