We are currently recruiting for a SEN Primary School in Reigate, Surrey who are looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support KS1/KS2 students with Autism and complex needs. You will be working 1:1 and in small groups with students.

 

This is a long term role to start as soon as possible and will be with a view to going permanent. The hours will be from 9am-3.30pm, Monday to Friday.

 

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting students with Special Needs in the classroom and in the playground
  • Work closely with the class Teacher to ensure all students understand the lesson objectives
  • Running activities with the students
  • Personal care where required
  • Creating an inclusive and fun learning environment for all students to reach the best of their abilities
  • Dealing with any challenging behaviours

 

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A positive, can-do attitude
  • Experience in working with vulnerable people or this with Special Needs (SEN)
  • Passion for working with those with Special Needs (SEN)
  • Willing to learn and adapt methods where necessary
  • Complete an enhanced DBS check
