CASS Accountant – Retford – Competitive Salary + BenefitsChase & Holland are excited to be working with an international group of companies based in Retford who are seeking a CASS Accountant to join their ever-growing team. The successful candidate will act as the liaison between the IBA and Management Accounting Teams ensuring that accounting issues are resolved effectively and efficiently. In Return You’ll Receive:

 CASS Accountant key responsibilities:
  • Responsible for timely, effective controls & reconciliations as per the FCA requirements across various Group bank accounts.
  • Provide timely MI and insightful commentary to identify control weaknesses and improve business performance.
  • Responsible for identifying root causes arising from reconciliation issues working with the team and stakeholders to address and improve business performance and internal controls.
  • Act as main point of contact for CASS and statutory audits, agreeing deadlines, ensuring deliverables meet requirements and managing queries to resolution.
  • Identify and log CASS breaches, identifying root causes and working with colleagues to resolve and prevent future occurrences.
  • Ensure a definitive understanding of unidentified cash amounts, working closely with IBA and business colleagues to clear in accordance with agreed timelines.
  • Build relationships across the organisation and effectively communicate with various key stakeholders.
  • Manage the IBA Controls Team providing effective feedback and training and development opportunities to new and existing team members.
  • Provide support for the transition of new business into the Group and eventual integration into the team as required.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • Qualified or Part Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA)
  • Clear understanding of FCA CASS regulation.
  • Familiar with mainstream bank providers and multi-currency operations.
  • Advanced level in MS Office suit especially with MS Excel.
  • A self-starter who can challenge existing processes with the intention of enhancing key business areas.
  • Have a positive ‘can do attitude’ with natural problem-solving abilities.
  • Be able to work as part of a team collaboratively as well as on your own initiative.
