An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Manager to join a thriving entrepreneurial business on a 12-month maternity cover contract. Based primarily in Retford and with hybrid working, this role is ideal for a finance professional ready to make an impact in a high-growth, multi-territory environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the preparation of full monthly management accounts for multiple entities, including reconciliations, P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow, with variance analysis.
- Manage intercompany reconciliations, ensuring timely and accurate consolidation of accounts across the group.
- Contribute to the preparation of the monthly board pack and internal reporting, ensuring compliance with lender covenants.
- Take charge of cash management initiatives, including detailed rolling cash forecasts across multi-currency accounts.
- Oversee multi-territory VAT returns, corporation tax, and other external reporting requirements.
- Coordinate the year-end statutory accounts and audit process, working directly with external auditors and advisors.
- Support the CFO on tax compliance, export/import tax, and other key financial matters.
- Supervise and mentor a team of accountants, partnering closely with other departments to support strategic goals.
- ACA, CIMA or ACCA qualified accountant with experience in high-growth SME environments, preferably multi-territory.
- Proficient in preparing consolidated accounts and handling intercompany transactions.
- Strong commercial acumen, capable of aligning accounting practices with business objectives.
