Very exciting opportunity to join an international manufacturing business within the Cellular Pathology Market as a European HR Director

This HR Director role is responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of human resources strategy, operations, and compliance across European operations for an international manufacturing business. This company specialises in the manufacturing and worldwide supply of consumables, equipment, and services to the cellular pathology sector. The position plays a crucial role in aligning HR practices with business objectives, fostering a positive employee experience, and ensuring the workforce is equipped to achieve the company's goals.

2 days a week on site in Newtown

This role involves regular monthly travel in and around Europe and requires 15+ years of multi-site Senior HR experience.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Works with Global VP of Human Resources to develop and implement the HR strategy for the European region, ensuring alignment with the global HR strategy and overall business objectives.
  • Oversee the recruitment, onboarding, and development of talent across the European region. This includes leading talent acquisition initiatives, managing employee performance, and driving talent management programs.
  • Manage and maintain HR systems, processes, and procedures to support the growth and success of our company
  • Foster a positive and engaging work environment by building strong relationships with employees, addressing employee concerns, and promoting employee well-being.
  • Design and administer competitive compensation and benefits packages for employees in Europe, ensuring compliance with local regulations and market trends.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant labour laws, regulations, and HR policies across the European region. 
  • Drive initiatives to improve organizational effectiveness, including training and development programs, succession planning, and change management initiatives.
  • Collaborate with other HR leaders, business leaders, and stakeholders across Europe to ensure effective communication and alignment on HR initiatives.
  • Track and analyse key HR metrics, including employee turnover, engagement, and performance, to identify trends and inform strategic decision-making.
  • Work closely with the global HR management team to ensure consistency in HR practices and processes across all regions.
  • Develop and manage the HR budget for the European region, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and cost-effectiveness.

Experience Required 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • 15+ years of HR experience OR a Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of strong HR leadership experience.
  • Extensive experience in Employee Relations, Payroll, HRIS management, and multi-site HR leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of European labour laws and HR best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading HR teams and managing complex HR operations across multiple sites.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficient in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
