Finance Analyst

Salary: £50k - £55k

Location: Brentford/Richmond

Hybrid: 3 days a week in office

We are currently seeking a motivated and skilled Finance Analyst to join our client's fast-paced and dynamic team in the FMCG industry.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for using their analytical mindset to analyze and interpret financial data, then relating it to potential business trends and issues. This candidate will feel comfortable using insights they have discovered to communicate important themes and discoveries to company leadership. The successful candidate will play a vital role in the financial planning and strategic decision-making processes.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the monthly management accounting, including the preparation of journals, accruals, and balance sheets.
  • Liaise closely with internal stakeholders to ensure accuracy and timely reporting.
  • Work in conjunction with another FP&A analyst to deliver monthly flash reports, and deliver insightful analysis.
  • Coordinate and supervise delivery of all financial processes outlined in the Finance Calendar, ensuring data integrity.
  • Act as a business partner to specific internal teams, initiating monthly business area reviews.
  • Provide financial support, ad hoc analysis and contribute to project requirements as needed.
  • Maintain a continuous improvement mindset, focusing on areas of responsibility within the role.
  • Stand in for and provide support to the FP&A Finance Manager as required.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of updated reporting and planning tools.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, or Finance or equivalent experience
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar finance analyst role is also required, ideally within FMCG.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerBI
  • The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, critical thinking capabilities, and keen attention to detail.
  • Must have the ability to challenge numbers, generate insights, and consolidate Risks & Ops to Budget / LE.
