Audit Manager

  • Location: Flexible working from various UK offices including three London Offices

  • Salary: £55,000-£65,000 

We are seeking an experienced Audit Manager to oversee a diverse portfolio of audit and assurance assignments, including charities, solicitors, and commercial audits, among others. This role requires effective and timely completion of tasks while upholding the highest quality standards. The position offers flexible working opportunities from any of our offices across the UK and may involve occasional travel to other member firms as needed.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Plan and execute audit assignments for clients within the allocated timetable and budget.
  • Supervise and control the audit team’s progress, including junior staff in the UK and overseas.
  • Communicate with clients regarding the progress of audits and discuss audit and accounts-related matters.
  • Advise clients on business improvement areas and negotiate terms of business as required.
  • Ensure accurate and timely billing and receipt of payments.
  • Maintain regular communication with the overseas team and improve processes by implementing best practices.
  • Keep professional and technical knowledge up-to-date by attending CPD courses, workshops, and participating in professional societies.
  • Travel to other group offices and client sites as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience (ACA/ACCA), ideally within a practice environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of FRS 102 and IFRS, including consolidation experience with overseas subsidiaries.
  • Sound knowledge of International Standards on Auditing (ISAs).
  • Proficient reporting skills and the ability to manage a team of up to 10 staff.
  • Competence with software such as CaseWare, IRIS, and familiarity with the Mercia methodology.
