Kenny Recruit are looking for a progressive Finance Manager to join a growing and energetic marketing communications business. The opportunity here is fantastic, they’re going through a phase of growth which means brand new offices being introduced later in the year but more importantly, this role being the role that will lead the day to day operations of the finance function (reporting into Head of Finance & Operations) and having a career pathway to Financial Controller. This opportunity gives the right person the chance to shake things up, we are looking for someone who will 'take on’ the department and make it their own. The MD is looking for someone who loves improving processes and automation, someone who is constantly thinking "how do I save TIME and MONEY". You will have two people reporting to you so you will need to be comfortable managing people and being responsible for their success.

This role is all about looking forward, it won’t suit someone who isn’t looking to improve themselves or progress their career.

  • Pay: £50,000 - £60,000 per annum dependent on experience) + benefits
  • Location: Richmond (3 days in the office)
  • Working hours: 9:00am - 5.00pm

Key Responsibilities:

Management

  • Meet the business where we are, take control, shape and own the finance function
  • Drive efficiency through elimination, automation and improvement of those repetitive and inefficient tasks
  • Manage a team, driving performance in line with our vision for the business managing objectives and KPI's

Finance

  • Providing management team with financial information including sales performance
  • Supervising and assisting with a variety of day-to-day financial operations
  • Preparation and review quarterly management accounts and performance versus OPEX
  • Maintain cashflow forecast, accruals and prepayments sheets
  • Responsible for financial reporting and legal compliance (e.i VAT, CT, P11d, PSA, PAYE&NI, ONS, HMRC surveys)
  • Cash management
  • Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process
  • Prepare monthly payroll information
  • Other tasks as required

Requirements:

  • Excited about eliminating, automating, and improving low value finance tasks
  • A professional accounting qualification, role experience and experience of accounting software (currently sage 50) is expected
  • Holds an understanding of people management, and has experience in setting and managing objectives / performance
  • Comfortable with change
  • High degree of accuracy / analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • High level of trust with shareholder matters
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
  • Wants to improve, grow and develop
