Position - Senior IT Field EngineerSalary - £40,000-£45,000Industry - Website Design & Development AgencyOffice location - RichmondAn exciting opportunity has become available, working as a Senior IT/3rd Line Field Engineer for a growing Website Design & Development Agency. Role OverviewAs a Senior IT Field Engineer, you will act as a critical touchpoint between the company and its clients. Your technical expertise, independence, and professionalism will be vital in maintaining the company's stellar reputation. Based within 60 minutes of Richmond, you'll tackle complex technical challenges, lead on-site installations, and support large-scale IT projects.Key Responsibilities
- Resolve third-line technical issues involving servers, networking, and cloud systems.
- Manage hybrid environments using Azure AD, Microsoft 365, and VMware.
- Configure advanced networking solutions, including VLANs, NAT, DNS, and firewalls.
- Deliver high-quality hardware installations, including network upgrades and cable trunking.
- Ensure all on-site work is executed to professional standards and exceeds client expectations.
- Work closely with the IT Field Operations Manager and other team members on system migrations and installations.
- Maintain meticulous documentation of configurations and solutions.
Candidate RequirementsExperience & Expertise:
- 5+ years of experience in 3rd line support or a similar field engineering role.
- Proven track record of working independently and delivering top-tier technical solutions.
- Advanced knowledge of Windows Servers, Microsoft 365, and networking technologies.
Additional Skills:
- Hands-on experience with Dell PowerEdge servers, Cisco networking, and tools such as SolarWinds.
- Excellent physical engineering abilities, including cable management and hardware setup.
Other Essentials:
- Valid UK driver's license and access to a vehicle.
- Strong attention to detail and a client-focused approach.
- Must be within a 1-hour commute to Richmond.
