Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

We are currently looking for an experienced Maintenance Plumber with basic carpentry skills to join our team working on social housing contracts across Richmond and the surrounding areas. This is a temporary-to-permanent role offering a competitive hourly rate, with the opportunity to transition into a permanent position after a successful probation period.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out plumbing maintenance, repairs, and installations in social housing properties (residential maintenance).
  • Perform basic carpentry tasks including minor joinery, door frame installations, and other woodwork duties as required.
  • Ensure high standards of workmanship and quality when working in tenants' homes, maintaining professionalism and respect for their living spaces.
  • Respond to service calls efficiently, diagnosing and repairing plumbing issues, ensuring minimal disruption for tenants.
  • Complete work in compliance with all relevant safety and housing regulations.
  • Manage time effectively to meet deadlines and adhere to project schedules.
  • Communicate effectively with tenants, supervisors, and colleagues to ensure a smooth and efficient service.


Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Plumber, with a solid background in maintenance and installation.
  • Basic carpentry skills (e.g., fitting skirting boards, door frames, and general joinery work).
  • Relevant plumbing qualifications (e.g., City & Guilds, NVQ) and a valid CSCS card.
  • Full UK driving license (company van provided).
  • Experience working in social housing contracts or similar environments is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills and a professional approach when dealing with tenants and clients.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing your own workload efficiently.
