People Groupis looking for a Setting Out Engineer to work with the civils team on a major infrastructure project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform setting out and surveying duties on various surfacing and asphalt projects.
- Interpret and execute engineering drawings, plans, and specifications.
- Coordinate with site managers, subcontractors, and other team members to ensure accurate implementation.
- Monitor and report on progress, quality, and compliance with safety standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that arise during the construction process.
- Maintain accurate records, including site diaries, as-built drawings, and progress reports.
- Ensure all works are carried out to the highest standard within time constraints.
- Proven experience as a Setting Out Engineer, and competent in Set-out, as-builts, surveys, levelling.
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and best practices.
- Proficiency with setting out equipment such as total stations and GPS.
- Familiarity with relevant software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D) and ability to produce and interpret technical drawings.
- Valid CSCS card and relevant engineering qualifications (e.g., HNC, HND, or degree in Civil Engineering or related field).
