Gotpeople are working with a successful and expanding Sub-Contract engineering company in the Rickmansworth area and due to a growing order book are looking for an Operations Assistant to join a busy team on a temporary to permanent basis.

Duties will include:

  • Supporting the Operations team on a day-to-day basis.
  • General administration and compiling reports as required for internal purposes and for customers.
  • Liaising with customers and suppliers as required, assisting with queries / expedite requests, customer update requests.
  • Attending / participating in daily Production meetings as required.
  • Other Operations / Administration related duties as required.
  • Answering phones and redirecting calls as required.

Essential experience / Skills:

  • Experience of working in a similar subcontract manufacturing environment and comfortable carrying out duties in the workshop when required which may include some manual handling / lifting.
  • Some technical knowledge would be advantageous.
  • Excellent attention to detail, methodical and with a very good level of numeracy skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in order to liaise with all levels of staff, customers, suppliers & management.
  • Must be a proactive, self-motivated and a flexible team player.
  • Excellent computer skills including experience of using Microsoft Office.

Hours of work: Monday – Thursday 7:30am- 4:30pm, Friday 7:30am to 2:30pm

Due to the site location, own transport is desirable.
