Join our dynamic team at a rapidly growing technology company focused on optimising workspace efficiency. We are currently seeking a Production & Materials Controller to enhance our Production and Logistics operations, ensuring effective inventory management and production planning to support global operations.
Day-to-Day of the Role:- Utilise the company’s materials requirement planning (MRP) system to develop a realistic Production Plan, identifying material requirements to meet actual orders and forecast builds.
- Coordinate purchasing activities to supply parts at planned times, considering estimated order quantities and lead times, while optimising costs.
- Monitor and control manufacturing activities at electronic subcontractors to meet production orders and target stock levels.
- Release internal works orders for kitting of parts, production of tested assemblies, and firmware configuration to meet customer commitments.
- Set safety stock levels, apply FIFO practices, maintain accurate inventory balances, and conduct periodic stock counts.
- Provide weekly KPI sheets for operations and maintain elements of the safety, quality, delivery, and costs (SQDC) weekly improvement tasks.
- Support the production team to ensure smooth product flow to fulfil customer orders and maintain a realistic “Sales and Operations" (S&OP) plan to meet business needs, identifying and addressing capacity and product availability challenges.
- 4-5 years’ experience in production, demand planning, stock control, or logistics functions within an electronics environment.
- Experienced in the use of MRP production control systems and procurement of electronic components.
- Strong understanding of KPIs and continuous improvement tools.
- Proficient in IT, particularly Excel, with the ability to quickly learn and train others in new systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a proactive approach to personal development.
