As Senior Design Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
- Specifying and designing mechanical parts, from small components to complete products
- Developing electro-mechanical and pneumatic assemblies with components such as pumps, valves, fans,…
- Performing engineering calculations and using FEA tools to validate designs
- Working across the full product lifecycle, from concept to detailed design, manufacturing and customer support
- Leading design reviews, supporting other engineers
- Planning and documenting work, creating or updating technical manuals, test procedures, assembly instructions,…
As Senior Design Engineer, your skills and experience will include:
- A relevant degree in Mechanical Engineering with post-graduation experience
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and familiarity with managing drawings and models through a PDM system
- Project management experience, including leading the technical aspects with a good understanding of project methodology (APM or PRINCE 2 qualification)
- Understanding of manufacturing and experience in designing products for small-scale manufacture
- Knowledge of Product Safety Directives and the steps required to lead design reviews
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work under pressure
