Part Time Finance and Administration Assistant Job in Ringwood - 9-month FTC

Our client is a thriving design and engineering firm who are recruiting for a Finance and Administration Assistant for a 9-month Fixed Term Contract, with an expected start date of April 2025. The business works with a range of commercial clients on their innovations in internal design, and they are seeing great results with year-on year growth and client satisfaction.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Finance:

  • Xero accounting software
  • Daily bank reconciliations
  • Purchase and sales ledger invoicing
  • Reconciling supplier payments
  • Monthly sales financial reporting
  • Assisting with payroll preparation
  • Preparing month end figures
  • Preparing audit documentation
  • General bookkeeping queries

Administration:

  • Answering incoming calls and responding to client enquiries
  • Producing applications to clients
  • General office administration and filing
  • Stationary and facilities ordering
  • Process expense claims and holiday requests for engineers
  • Monthly sales reporting for the MD
  • Adhoc administrative duties

Minimum Skills Required for the Part Time Finance and Administration Assistant:

  • Strong understanding of Xero accounting software
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Office applications)
  • Proactive and keen to get stuck in
  • Attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Flexible and adaptable team player

Salary and Benefits:

  • An hourly rate of £14-15 per hour, dependent on experience
  • 20 days holiday + bank holidays pro rata
  • Working Monday - Friday 8.00 am - 1.00 pm or 9.00 am - 2.00 pm
