Business Development Manager Job in Ringwood

Dovetail Recruitment has a new Business Development Manager position available in Ringwood, with an employee owned company in the tech sector. You will need a strong background in IT support, to enable you to join the company and bring growth from day one.

This is very much a new business development role which will contribute to the ongoing growth of the company. You will work closely with the directors and marketing team to develop a roadmap to target and win new business, and building strong, long lasting relationships.

This is a hybrid role with 2 days in the office and 3 days from home.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with the directors and marketing to develop your strategy to identify new market areas and sectors for the business, and action this plan.
  • Identify and engage with new customers, building strong relationships.
  • Work with the Technical Director to develop tailored proposals that make use of the wide range of services to meet client needs.
  • Leverage existing vendor relationships, in coordination with our Technical Director, to enhance our market positioning and commercial opportunities.
  • Create and manage sales forecasts, actively working towards meeting and exceeding set targets.
  • Attend conferences, meetings, and industry events to build relationships with potential clients and partners and stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities.
  • Lead the development of tender responses, leveraging our technical expertise and existing relationships to increase our win rate, particularly in new markets.
  • Regularly report on BD activities, progress towards targets, and market insights to the Board.

Minimum Experience Required:

  • Experience winning new business within the IT support services sector
  • Knowledge of the IT services market, including competitor landscape and industry trends.
  • Results driven
