I am currently recruiting on behalf of a reputable housing developer based in Hampshire. They have an excellent reputation in terms of build quality and they take absolute pride in ensuring they deliver the best product and service. They have many new sites starting this year and in 2024/2025. They now require a freelance buyer to join the team asap for approx.12 weeks.
You will be employed as a freelance buyer and day rate is negotiable DOE between 280-330per day. There is no flexi working available, so office based 5 days a week with the hours 8.30am-5pm each day. You will join a team of 2 other buyers already in the business to help with work and demand. Your day to day duties will include: provide pricing on all materials, identifying potential suppliers, obtain quotations, agreeing delivery times, assessing reliability of suppliers and sub-contractors, keeping in line with compliance and health and safety, preparing and maintaining cost reports, negotiating and agreeing terms, finding cost effective ways, keeping to deadlines and budgets and maximise efficiency within the business.
