The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and expertise in using hand tools to deburr, grind, and polish materials and fabrications. This role is essential in ensuring the quality and precision of our products, directly contributing to the success of our manufacturing processes.Key Responsibilities* Utilise hand tools and machinery to grind, deburr, and finish metal components to specified tolerances.* Remove weld spatter from welded fabrications.* Ensure all work meets the required quality control standards.* Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.* Collaborate with team members to enhance processes and address any production challenges.Qualifications & Experience* Proficiency in using hand tools with experience in heavy-duty fabrication.* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.* Experience operating forklifts and overhead cranes is highly desirable.* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.* Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.* Keen attention to detail and a commitment to craftsmanship.Job Details* Job Type: Full-time* Pay: £14.40 per hour* Hours: 39 in total* Schedule: Day shift, Monday to Friday, with overtime and weekend availability* Experience Required: Minimum of 3 years as a FettlerBenefits* Company pension* Free parking* Life insurance* On-site parking* Referral programme* Sick payIf you have the required skills and are passionate about precision engineering, we encourage you to apply and become a valued member of our dynamic team.
