Candidates must have over 5 years of experience as a Mechanical Fitter, including a Level 3 Apprenticeship and at least 3 years in relevant industries such as Nuclear or Defence.
Key skills include manual machining and mechanical assembly, with a requirement of 5 years and 3 years of experience respectively.
The position offers an above-market salary, a company pension, and onsite parking, with standard working hours of 39 hours per week and overtime paid at 1.5x.

Mechanical Fitter

Our client founded in 1978, provides 1st tier single source supply to worlds leading engineering manufacturers. We are currently recruiting for experienced Mechanical Fitter to join this business in Ripley.

Key skills required of the Mechanical Fitter:

Must have over 5 years working experience as a Mechanical Fitter
Time Served / Level 3 Apprenticeship in a relevant discipline
Must have Manual Machining minimum = 5 years
Must have Mechanical Assembly minimum 3 years
Excellent Interpersonal skills, comfortable working as part of a team
We require someone with experience of working within relevant industries such as Nuclear, Defence etc. at least 3 years
Experience of working with a wide range of assemblies in size and weight = 3 years
Experience of working to tight tolerances = 3 years
Excellent understanding of the need to work to procedures and specifications

The successful Mechanical Fitter will be time served engineer with the ability to operate manual machine tools (milling and turning) with additional skills including the use of hand operated tools and lifting equipment. In return our client will be provide a above market rate salary, company pension, onsite parking etc.

Hours of work: 39 hours per week - Mon-Thurs 0730-1630, Fri 0730-1400

Overtime, paid at 1.5x
