A leading organisation based in Ripon, North Yorkshire, are looking to recruit an experienced HR Advisor (ER Specialist) based at their Ripon site covering 13 sites within Yorkshire, Teesside, Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire.

As a People Specialist, you will champion the employee experience journey and advise on a diverse range of employee relations cases across the group (such as performance management, conflict resolution, absence and ill health, grievance, and disciplinary). This will involve supporting line managers in creating an environment where employee concerns and conflicts are resolved compliantly while fostering effective communication channels to promote a culture of openness, trust, and mutual respect. You will play a crucial role in building the Employee Experience and the HR team and processes.

There will be a requirement to travel to depots.

Monday to Friday 08:00-17:00

Qualifications

  • CIPD qualified to Level 5 or above or equivalent degree and/or experience.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in Employee Relations and/ or Human Resources Advisor (or equivalent) with a background in medium to large-sized organisations where strong values and brand exist.
  • Strong understanding of employment law, HR policies and procedures, best practices, disciplinary and grievance processes, and employee engagement strategies to develop a people-centered employee experience journey.
  • Background in managing ER cases with strong attention to detail, organisation, and prioritisation skills.
  • Has coached case managers to conduct investigations and manage employee relations cases with sensitivity, confidentiality, and impartiality.
  • Experience in writing and delivering training material with strong coaching skills.
  • Take ownership and responsibility for your own contribution, and be proactive and self-motivated.
  • Excellent IT skills with experience of using Microsoft packages and other bespoke software
