I am on the hunt for an experienced and dynamic Restaurant Manager to join an esteemed team at luxury hotel located in the heart of the picturesque North Yorkshire countryside. The ideal candidate will have a passion for excellence, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to delivering an exceptional dining experience to our guests. This role also includes overseeing and coordinating events on the expansive estate.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Restaurant Management:

    • Oversee the daily operations of our 2 Rosette-awarded restaurant, ensuring a seamless dining experience for all guests.
    • Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and service.
    • Train, manage, and motivate a team of front-of-house staff, fostering a positive and professional working environment.
    • Manage reservations and ensure efficient table turnover.
    • Handle customer complaints and feedback with professionalism and tact.
    • Monitor and control inventory, ordering supplies as necessary to meet business demands.
    • Collaborate with the Head Chef to design and update menus, ensuring alignment with seasonal and local produce availability.
  • Event Coordination:

    • Plan, coordinate, and execute events on the estate, ranging from private dining experiences to large-scale weddings and corporate functions.
    • Work closely with clients to understand their vision and requirements, providing personalized service to ensure successful event delivery.
    • Liaise with various departments (e.g., kitchen, housekeeping, maintenance) to ensure all aspects of events are covered.
    • Manage event budgets, ensuring financial efficiency and profitability.
    • Oversee event setup and teardown, ensuring all details are executed to the highest standards.
  • Financial Management:

    • Prepare and manage the restaurants budget, including forecasting and financial planning.
    • Monitor financial performance, analysing data to inform business decisions and optimize profitability.
    • Implement cost control measures without compromising quality.
  • Marketing and Promotion:

    • Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract and retain customers.
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to promote special events and seasonal offerings.
    • Maintain a strong online presence, including managing reviews and social media engagement.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager in a high-end establishment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Financial acumen with experience managing budgets and financial performance.
  • Proficiency in restaurant management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards.
