**Transport Planner Required**
Bennett and Game are currently working with a successful, independent Haulage company based in North Yorkshire who require a Transport Planner to join their busy traffic office.
My client provides a number of warehousing and distribution services with both UK & International coverage. They are a key member of the pallet network.
Transport Planner Position Overview
- Route planning and load building to achieve maximum efficiency.
- To work closely with team members planning own fleet of vehicles.
- Collection and delivery of UK domestic and European bound freight.
- Groupage consolidation, part loads, full loads
- Customer liaison to ensure excellent service levels are maintained.
- Source sub-contractors and reloads when required.
- Maximise use of trailers
- General administration associated to the UK operation.
- Providing support/ cover where required
Transport Planner Position Requirements
- Experience in load planning
- Computer literacy
- Flexible, the ability to adapt to changing circumstances
- Quick thinking
- Good communication skills
Transport Planner Position Remuneration
- Salary - Circa 32K
- Hours are 37.5 per week and will be between the hours of 9am and 7pm. Rota to be agreed. Occasional Saturday mornings approx. 1 in 6. Additional pay applies.
