Key Responsibilities:
Stock Management & Procurement:
- Develop and maintain an efficient stock ordering system to align with business demand, minimise excess inventory, and support overall business growth
- Work closely with suppliers to ensure the timely procurement of materials and equipment required for smooth operations
- Monitor stock levels, conduct regular audits, and ensure accurate inventory records to prevent shortages, overstocking, and loss
- Oversee the organisation and handling of stock, ensuring best practices are followed to promote efficiency, a clean workspace, and cost-effectiveness
- Implement and manage inventory control measures to improve accuracy and optimise warehouse processes
- Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, ISO standards, and other relevant audit requirements in warehouse operations
- Proactively address logistical challenges and implement strategies to mitigate risks associated with delivery delays or disruptions in the supply chain
- Lead and mentor a small warehouse team responsible for stock control, warehousing, and logistics
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance team culture by providing guidance, setting clear objectives, and ensuring professional development opportunities
- Monitor team performance, provide regular feedback, and implement performance improvement initiatives when needed
- Ensure effective communication and coordination between team members and other departments to enhance operational efficiency
- Achieve 'Invoice Out' targets to maximise revenue and ensure business profitability
- Closely manage relevant cost lines on the P&L to maintain optimised profitability
- Identify opportunities for improving operational efficiency and implement process improvements as needed
- Monitor and analyse key performance indicators related to inventory turnover, logistics efficiency, and cost management
- Prepare and present operational reports to senior management, highlighting trends, risks, and areas for improvement
- Manage a small customer service team, ensuring timely and cost-effective resolution of customer queries and issues
- At least 5 years of experience in operations or supply chain management, preferably in a similar environment
- Strong knowledge of inventory management systems, supply chain planning tools, and logistics coordination
- Proven experience in managing third-party logistics providers and optimising supply chain processes
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions under pressure
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency in ERP systems and warehouse management software
- Knowledge of sustainability practices in supply chain operations
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance related to inventory management
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Experience in supporting business expansions
