4Recruitment Services are seeking a Registered Manager for a Children's Home based in Rochdale.  The children’s homes is Ofsted rated as Good and the client is requiring a registered manager who has a proven track record of positive leadership in the sector including Good/Outstanding Ofsted judgements.The successful applicant will have previously been registered with Ofsted and have at least 5 years experience working in the sector, and be qualified to Level 5 or above.  While the work will primarily be during the day there will be a requirements to undertake occasional evening shifts including sleep-ins although this would be the exception rather than the rule.You will:
  • responsible for the overall management of a children’s residential home and for the maintenance of high professional standards and practice. To ensure that resources are used and organised in ways which are consistent with council and service policies and procedures and with legal frameworks for children’s homes and looked after children.
  • promote the health, education, safety, welfare and the positive social, emotional, intellectual and physical development of children and young people who are looked after. Ensuring tasks identified in the overall care plan for those young people are carried out.
  • be an integral part of the management team within cared for children services and to promote multi-agency working to improve outcomes for cared for children.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:
  • Previously been registered with Ofsted
  • Diploma 5 in Management or equivalent
  • At least 5 years of residential child care work (including working with families)
  • At least 2 years management experience within residential child care/social care setting
  • Experience of supervising staff
  • Enhanced DBS check
