We are currently recruiting for a Site Engineer within our Land Reclamation division (Civils, Highways, Utilities, Landscaping, Infrastructure etc.) to provide professional support to the site management in several engineering and quality areas on various schemes throughout Greater Manchester and Lancashire.


Who are we looking for?

The ideal candidate will hold at least an NVQ Level 4 or equivalent in a relevant construction discipline and demonstrate a confident, adaptable, and analytical approach to their work. They will have strong problem-solving skills, the ability to seek out and evaluate information, and the confidence to take the lead on engineering matters while knowing when to seek additional guidance.


Highly organised and detail-oriented, they will possess excellent time management skills and a diligent approach to setting out, measurement, and record-keeping. As a team player with strong commercial awareness, they will be proficient in Microsoft Office and adopt a common-sense, flexible approach to their duties.


Ideally, the candidate will have a broad knowledge of various trades, an understanding of motivation and personnel management theories, and be comfortable liaising with external stakeholders, including clients, professional services, tenants, and the general public.


Previous experience within civils, highways and/or utilities would be highly advantageous.


The role of a Site Engineer at The Casey Group

Support site management by setting out works, tracking progress, and recording site conditions.

Manage materials by quantifying, ordering, and monitoring usage.

Assist commercial teams with measurements, valuations, and cost tracking.

Coordinate with stakeholders (consultants, designers, subcontractors) to ensure smooth project execution.

Engage in project planning by understanding key programme drivers and attending review meetings.

Maintain professional communication through correspondence and site interactions.

Encourage learning and development, mentoring trainees and participating in CSR initiatives.

What do you receive in return?

Financial

Salary between £42,000 - £46,000 depending on experience

Car Allowance of £4,000 per annum
