We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic EAL Teaching Assistant to join our secondary school in Middleton, Rochdale. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual with a passion for supporting students with English as an Additional Language (EAL) in their educational journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting students with EAL in both classroom and small group settings.
  • Assisting in the development of English language skills and providing tailored support.
  • Working closely with teachers to implement learning strategies and adapt resources for EAL students.
  • Monitoring and tracking progress, providing feedback to both students and staff.
  • Promoting a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

Essential Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience working with young people in an educational setting.
  • A relevant qualification in EAL support (e.g., CELTA, TESOL, or equivalent).
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff and students.
  • A genuine passion for helping students succeed.

Desirable Skills:

  • Ability to speak Ukrainian or French would be highly advantageous.
