We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic EAL Teaching Assistant to join our secondary school in Middleton, Rochdale. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual with a passion for supporting students with English as an Additional Language (EAL) in their educational journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting students with EAL in both classroom and small group settings.
- Assisting in the development of English language skills and providing tailored support.
- Working closely with teachers to implement learning strategies and adapt resources for EAL students.
- Monitoring and tracking progress, providing feedback to both students and staff.
- Promoting a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
Essential Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience working with young people in an educational setting.
- A relevant qualification in EAL support (e.g., CELTA, TESOL, or equivalent).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff and students.
- A genuine passion for helping students succeed.
Desirable Skills:
- Ability to speak Ukrainian or French would be highly advantageous.
