Description
- Manage and implement health and safety standards across the manufacturing facility.
- Provide guidance on all H&S matters, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Develop and deliver training programmes for staff on health and safety protocols.
- Conduct regular site audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on health and safety performance.
- Act as the main point of contact for regulatory bodies and external auditors.
- Implement continuous improvement strategies to enhance safety protocols.
- Oversee incident investigations, ensuring proper follow-up actions are taken.
Profile
A successful H&S Manager should have:
- NEBOSH General Certificate or Diploma
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of health and safety regulations and guidelines.
- Proven experience in a similar role within the FMCG/manufacturing industry.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001
- Certification in risk assessment would be advantageous.
- A proactive approach towards improving health and safety protocols.
