Job Title: Strategic Lead for Inclusion and Alternative Provision
Hours: Full-time (37 hours per week, flexible)
Location: Greater Manchester, Hybrid working

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Fair Access Team and Alternative Provision, ensuring every child gets the education they deserve.
  • Drive inclusive practices across schools, supporting students at risk of suspension or exclusion.
  • Collaborate with schools, SEN services, social care, and health to create a holistic support system.
  • Oversee the commissioning of quality alternative provisions and support schools in delivering top-notch education for all pupils.
  • Monitor and improve outcomes for students using alternative provision, ensuring their education and wellbeing remain a top priority.

What We're Looking For:

  • Expertise in the SEND Code of Practice, Alternative Provision and Area SEND Inspection Framework
  • A strategic thinker with a deep understanding of inclusive education and alternative provision.
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience managing teams and driving high performance.
  • A collaborative mindset, capable of working with schools, local authorities, and external partners.
  • Someone who is committed to reducing suspensions and exclusions, with a proven track record in improving outcomes for vulnerable students.
