GSL are working with a wonderful school in Rochdale, OL16, who are looking for a strong and competent Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join their warm and welcoming team. The role is a full time and is Monday to Friday, this position is a long term position and for the right individual could go on to a permanent contract.
Your responsibilities as a HLTA will be based in the classroom supporting the class teacher. You will need to have strong leadership and behaviour management skills This will ensure students are adhering to the school behaviour management policy. Ensuring the correct behaviour is adhered to at all times.
The successful candidate will be covering classes in the absence of the teacher as well as running interventions with small groups of children. You will need to have previous experience working within Key stage 2 and good curriculum knowledge
To be considered for this Higher Level Teaching Assistant role in Rochdale, OL16 the school are looking for someone who:
- Has a Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification or a relevant degree
- Has previous experience in the same role
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to apply for a new one
