We are looking for an experienced and motivated Warehouse Manager to oversee our warehouse operations. In this role you will be responsible for managing stock of both the company and customer, liaising with customers around stock enquiries, managing the flow of goods and leading a team to ensure efficient and safe warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing Warehouse Operations:Oversee daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficient product flow, accurate inventory management, and timely shipping/receiving. Inspecting and approving the quality and quantity of goods received and shipped out.
- Team Leadership:Lead, motivate, and supervise a team of warehouse associates, ensuring high productivity and fostering a positive and safe work culture.
- Training & Development:Onboard and train new employees while providing ongoing development opportunities to enhance skills and improve performance.
- Safety & Compliance:Enforce health and safety regulations
- Process Optimisation:Work with management to identify and implement improvements in warehouse operations, driving efficiency and reducing operational costs.
- Reporting & Documentation:Monitor warehouse performance metrics, maintain accurate records, and report on performance, identifying areas for improvement.
- Collaboration:Work cross-functionally with the Transport team, Production, Blending and Office staff, to ensure seamless operations and resolve issues quickly.
Key Skills required:
- Warehouse Experience:Proven experience in warehouse management or a similar leadership role, ideally within a high-volume or fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Leadership Skills:Strong leadership abilities with experience in managing and motivating teams to achieve operational goals, accepting responsibility for the department and work well under pressure.
- Operational Knowledge:Solid understanding of warehouse operations, including inventory management, shipping, receiving, and warehouse safety. Enforcing health and safety procedures, alongside company rules and regulations
- Communication Skills:Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and interact with all levels of the organisation. Communicating and interacting with clients as a first point of contact surrounding stock and delivery queries, suppliers, colleagues and customers
- Problem Solving:Ability to quickly identify problems and develop effective solutions to maintain warehouse efficiency, reviewing batch numbers and ingredients.
- Technology Proficiency: Administration skills, Maintaining computerised administration, stockinventory and retrieval systems
- Flexibility:Willingness to work varying shifts, including weekends based on operational requirements.
Training requirements:
FLT Driving licence and FLT licence required, ADHOC training as acquired for your role. All training will be provided by the business provided a Training agreement has been completed.
