Recoveries Handler – Motor Insurance

Salary - £25,000 - £30,000

Location – Rochdale  (Office based )

We are seeking an experienced Recoveries Handler for a leading insurance company in Rochdale. This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a small, friendly team, managing a caseload of up to 300 claims and negotiating settlements with insurers and solicitors. The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation skills and credit hire experience

The Company This well-established road traffic accident management company, founded in 2010, specialises in credit hire and repair. With a focus on excellent customer service, the company offers a full accident management package to clients involved in non-fault road traffic accidents. 

The Role as a Recoveries Handler, you'll be responsible for negotiating settlements, resolving disputes, and maximising returns for the company.

Key Responsibilities of the Recoveries Handler:

  • Negotiate settlements for credit hire, repair, storage, and uninsured losses
  • Investigate and resolve liability and quantum disputes
  • Liaise with clients, solicitors, referrers, and insurers
  • Process payments and manage incoming communications
  • Maintain and manage a caseload of up to 300 claims

Required knowledge and experience for the Recoveries Handler role:

  • Credit hire experience preferred (but not essential)
  • Strong negotiation and organisational skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise workload effectively
  • Knowledge of ABI GTA and motor accident claims (preferred)
  • Proficiency in MS Office (experience with Pro Claim system beneficial)
