We are seeking a dedicated Administrator to join Rochdale Council's Environmental Management Support Section. This role is crucial for providing a wide range of business and technical support functions, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery in line with Council policies and procedures.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Serve as the main customer contact at Green Lane Reception, both in person and by telephone.
  • Undertake various business/technical support functions as instructed by the Business Support Manager, including data input, record maintenance, and processing of incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Provide technical assistance, information, and guidance on issues related to the service.
  • Use ICT systems for duties such as typing letters in Word and creating spreadsheets in Excel.
  • Prepare routine correspondence and keep service information up to date.
  • Monitor levels of office consumables, manage inventories, and order stocks as needed.
  • Assist with the processing of orders and invoices, ensuring timely payments within the Council’s targets.
  • Assist in the reconciliation of cash income and prepare for banking.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in administrative or reception roles.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word and Excel.
