ABOUT THE SCHOOL
Prospero Teaching are looking for a KS4 Tutor to teach foundation stage Science to KS4 students in a small SEMH setting in Rochdale. The school is an independent school of 27 pupils with significant social, emotional and mental health difficulties.
The school offers a theraputic approach to learning with a tailored curriculum for its students. Class sizes are small with fantastic support from teaching assistants and behavioural support mentors.
The school are currently looking for a science teacher/tutor to join their KS4 department teaching foundation level science to a maximum of 6 pupils accessing their GCSE's.
The position is open to all experienced Teachers/tutors and whilst QTS is not essential, teaching SEN/SEMH students previously is. Depending on performance the school would look at either extending the contract or offering a permanent position.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience in a similar setting
- QTS/QTLS and or other teaching qualifications
- GCSE Maths and English and Computer literate
- Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional child related references that cover at least the last two years
