We have a fantastic locum opportunity for an experienced Social Worker to join an Adult Front Door Duty team in Rochdale, Greater Manchester. This role focuses on providing urgent, high-quality support and safeguarding to adults in need of assistance. Responsibilities:
- Manage incoming safeguarding referrals efficiently, ensuring timely responses to protect vulnerable adults from abuse or neglect.
- Conduct thorough assessments of individuals referred to the team to understand their care and support needs, in line with the Care Act 2014.
- Provide immediate short-term support, advice, and intervention to those in urgent need, including emergency placements when necessary.
- Work closely with health professionals, housing services, law enforcement, and other agencies to create tailored support plans and ensure holistic care for service users.
- Maintain accurate case records, write comprehensive reports, and attend meetings to provide updates on safeguarding investigations and ongoing cases.
- Participate in the development and continuous improvement of the adult safeguarding services,
To be considered for the role, ideally you will have:
- 2 years' experience working within adult social care, ideally in a frontline setting such as an adult duty, safeguarding, or front door team.
- Recognised Diploma or Degree in Social Work.
- Social Work England registration
- Knowledge: A solid understanding of current social work legislation, including the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS).
