CNC Programmer / Setter / Operator

Location: Strood, Kent
Hours: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: 40,000 pa + Overtime + Annual Bonus

Are you an experienced CNC professional with a sharp eye for detail and a passion for precision engineering?

We're looking for a CNC Programmer / Setter / Operator to join a high-performing engineering team, building advanced automation and robotic systems for some of the world's most demanding industries.

This is more than a machine shop role-you'll be a key part of the engineering process, transforming CAD models into real-world components that bring complex automation systems to life.



What You'll Be Doing:

  • Program, set, and operate CNC milling machines (primarily Haas)

  • Translate detailed engineering drawings into precision-machined parts

  • Use CAD/CAM software to develop efficient machining strategies

  • Machine a variety of metals and composites with consistently high quality

  • Work closely with mechanical and automation engineers during system development

  • Contribute ideas and feedback during prototype builds and custom projects



What You'll Bring:

  • Proven experience programming and operating CNC machines (milling essential, turning desirable)

  • Strong CAD/CAM software knowledge (Fusion 360, SolidCAM, or similar)

  • Deep understanding of machining processes, tooling, feeds, and speeds

  • Ability to work from complex technical drawings and models

  • A practical, problem-solving mindset with attention to detail

  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
