In this pivotal role, you will provide high-quality financial information and advice, manage a small team, and influence budgetary accountability. Your expertise will be essential in liaising with external organisations and ensuring optimal resource use.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality financial information and advice to Divisions and Directorates, influencing budgetary control and commercial considerations.
  • Manage and develop a team to deliver effective financial advice.
  • Conduct formal periodic reviews of financial performance, advising on budgetary accountability.
  • Support business case development and identify cost efficiency and productivity opportunities.
  • Act as a communication conduit for Service Level Reporting (SLR) information, proposing efficiency improvements.
  • Collaborate with other Business Partners to enhance financial understanding and budgetary management.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • CCAB qualification or equivalent.
  • Master’s Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of three years post-qualification experience (PQE) in financial management within a complex organisation.
  • Strong knowledge of NHS financial management techniques and regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams, driving change and improvement.

This is a temporary opportunity for an initial period of 3 months.
