Logistics Coordinator (Food Manufacturing)

Job Role: Logistics Coordinator (Food Manufacturing)
Salary: £26,000 - £30,000 per annum
Location: Rochester
Hours: Monday-Friday 09:30am -17:30pm

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Organising daily despatches of pallets/cartons and weekly full load deliveries
• Booking in deliveries with 3rd party warehouses in preparation for despatches
• Booking deliveries on haulier portals
• Arrange shipping paperwork for export markets
• Communicating and working directly with the warehouse team
• Providing a timely and proactive response to customer and supplier delivery queries
• Receiving and despatching stock on ERP software
• Checking and applying labels and delivery notes where necessary on a daily basis
• Assisting your line manager with regular client updates
• Any other reasonable duties associated with the role

Skills and experience required:

• Experience within a similar role ideally within a food/drinks/pharma manufacturing environment
• Speed, accuracy, and attention to detail
• Excellent record keeping abilities
• Proactive nature with the ability to think and plan ahead
• Ability to deal effectively with suppliers and customers as well as colleagues daily
• Good computer skills and knowledge of applications in particular Microsoft Excel
• A professional & friendly telephone manner
