Salary: Up to £400 per day DOE

Location: Medway/Remote

Are you an experienced leader in regeneration, ready to oversee multi-million-pound projects that shape the future? We are a leading recruitment agency, working on behalf of a dynamic local council, seeking a Regeneration Programme Manager to drive regeneration programmes from inception to completion. This high-profile role is key to delivering transformational projects in the region.

Role Overview: As the Regeneration Programme Manager, you will lead the full lifecycle of regeneration programmes, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. You will be accountable for financial oversight, stakeholder management, governance reporting, and leading multi-disciplinary teams, including external consultants and contractors.

This is a Remote role with flexible working arrangements, You will be required to travel to the office once a month.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Programme Leadership: Oversee the delivery of regeneration programmes, ensuring outputs, timelines, and budgets are met. Keep programme plans updated and ensure compliance with complex agreements.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. Act as an ambassador for the Council in meetings and on working groups.
  • Financial Accountability: Manage budgets to ensure alignment with governance, standing orders, and external grant requirements.
  • Team Leadership: Line manage and mentor multidisciplinary teams, driving continuous improvement and resource management.
  • Governance and Compliance: Lead on reporting to stakeholders, ensuring programmes meet compliance and strategic objectives.
  • Risk & Performance Management: Ensure robust performance and risk management frameworks are in place to deliver successful outcomes.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualifications: A degree in a relevant subject and a Project/Programme Management qualification (ILM 5-6 or equivalent) are essential. Professional accreditation or chartered status is desirable.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years in managing regeneration programmes within the public sector is required, with experience in contract and resource management. Leadership experience in managing £5m+ regeneration projects is highly desirable.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, financial control, resource management, and resilience in managing high-pressure workloads with conflicting priorities.
